The program this year, “Starry, Starry Night”, which showcases a long list of talented area performers, will be a tribute to the Memory of Shelly Goldsmith, a beloved Abingdon teenager, who passed away in August of this year. Shelley was active in her community and was a volunteer at the local food bank. She was a person committed to making the world a better place. She touched many lives by her actions and commitments to worthy causes. Her love of life was contagious and her smile was her trademark.
Both new and past favorites will hit the stage at Barter Theatre on Monday, December 9 at 7:00 p.m. to help usher in the Christmas season. We want to make this 20th year the best ever for assisting those in need. The turkey gift certificates and monetary support have been provided to many of our area groups, including Faith in Action, Feed America, Washington County Social Services, Salvation Army, Healthy Families-Farm Families and others. We also fund the Annual Community Christmas Dinner which provides 700 meals to those in need on Christmas Day. We hope that you will open your hearts and pockets to this great need by becoming a sponsor for the 2013 Community Christmas Program. Please consider becoming a new sponsor or perhaps bumping up your sponsorship level for this year.
Your sponsorship this year will come with complimentary vouchers which can be redeemed at the Barter Box Office for tickets for the performance. We at Community Christmas, Inc. wish all of you the very best in the year to come and an wonderful holiday season. We thank you for supporting this worthy cause in our community by your generous contribution.
